In order to become a Hero, you must first be a “Meraklis”. It is a title of honor, a quantitative and qualitative measure of appreciation; one won by battles on the shores of our great sea, where “meraki”, also known as yearning passion, is endowed, which you can also call “longing”. They produce, cook, and eat products with all their soul, following the cycles of the sun and the moon, hence the cycle of life in nature; so as to give and receive joy; so as to share happiness; so as to spread bliss. Go meet them at a festival. They sacrifice a selection of carcasses that they raised, went into the kitchens themselves and cooked them, and after sharing food and wine, they passed with a “tsalimi” (enchanting movement) on the front line of the feast, cheering, dancing and singing. That is why for them the daily labour on earth or at sea, followed by a cathartic meal, is a reason for celebration. That is why their works are divine, which goes without saying, natural and sustainable.
