Rooted Everyday Mediterranean Children’s Short Story Competition
There are two categories for school pupils to choose from. The 500 word prize is for 7 – 13 year olds and the 1000 word prize is for 14 – 18 year olds. This year we’re only accepting entries from school pupils within Rooted Everyday eco-regions of Lemnos in Greece, High Atlas mountains in Morocco, Montados in Portugal and Shouf mountains in Lebanon.
Schools and organisers are responsible for selecting the top five entries from their students to go forward to the judging panel. Lesson plans to help shape the children’s writing will be offered to schools participating in the competition.
