Walid and Maysoon Nasserdin’s restaurant, Coara, is Lebanon’s first vegan restaurant.

It sits atop a hillside at the heart of the Shouf mountains – in a village called Kfar Katra – overlooking the land on which Walid and Maysoon grow their organic ingredients. For decades, the couple have put their love into every single dish, creating beautiful and unique concepts based on Lebanese food heritage.

In 2012, Coara won the NOWARA Award for best economic initiative for Lebanese rural woman in the field of agriculture and food processing.
